Entering the circuit

When arriving at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, be prepared for a detailed luggage inspection. Familiarize yourself with the list of allowed and prohibited items in advance. 

Adhere to these regulations, as security personnel will confiscate restricted items, and severe violations may result in denied entry. 

Entry to the circuit requires a valid ticket, either in digital or paper form. To avoid any issues, save your ticket on your phone for convenience and carry a printed version as a backup. Purchasing tickets online is straightforward, ensuring everything is arranged before your visit.

The gates typically open at 6:00 am, so plan your arrival accordingly. While there is no fixed closing time for the venue, overnight stays are not permitted.

The Spa circuit covers a large area, so choose a gate near your grandstand (or parking if you’re driving). For "Bronze" tickets (General Admission), pick a gate near your viewing spot.

The 5 main entrances are:

  • La Source: For grandstands near the first turn.
    Nearest parking: Yellow
  • Ster: For grandstands between La Source and Eau Rouge.
    Nearest parking: Yellow
  • Kemmel: For viewing along the Kemmel Straight (General Admission).
    Nearest parking: Yellow/Green
  • Les Combes: For grandstands near Les Combes, Rivage, and Pouhon.
    Nearest parking: Green
  • Blanchimont: For General Admission at Blanchimont or Verstappen grandstand.
    Nearest parking: Red

Rules for visitors

At Spa-Francorchamps, the welcoming and approachable staff are always ready to assist, but certain rules are in place to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Failing to adhere to these guidelines could result in being refused entry or even denied access despite holding a valid ticket. 

Wondering what you can or cannot bring to the circuit? Here's what you need to know.

Allowed items

  • Mobile Phones: Both functioning and non-functioning.
  • Cameras and Video Equipment: For private use only; professional-grade devices for commercial purposes (e.g., TV-quality equipment) are not allowed.
  • Accessibility Aids: Canes for the visually impaired, walking aids.
  • Personal Accessories: Keyrings, purse chains, compact binoculars, and pocket lighters.
  • Medicines: Limited to personal use.
  • Flags and Poles: Poles up to 1.6 m or with a diameter of less than 2 cm. Note: Flagpoles might restrict access to stands.
  • Seating and Shade: Folding chairs/armchairs in standing areas, compact sun umbrellas, and regular umbrellas in standing areas.
  • Beverages: Plastic bottles and standard beverage cans are permitted.

Restricted behavior

  • Event Timing: Entry and presence are allowed only during opening hours. Overnight camping on the grounds is strictly forbidden.
  • Safety Compliance: Blocking stairways, escape routes, or sitting/climbing on fences and barriers is prohibited.
  • Prohibited Activities:

Bringing animals onto the premises.
Appearing under the influence of alcohol or drugs—entry will be denied or you may be removed without a ticket refund.
Erecting/distributing posters or selling goods without prior written permission from the organizers.
Flying drones or using unmanned aerial vehicles.

Prohibited items
  • Professional Equipment: Television cameras, sound-recording equipment, or any professional-grade devices.
  • Glass and Hazardous Materials: Glass bottles, breakable containers, or any weapon-like items such as knives and darts.
  • Cooking Equipment: Barbecues, stoves, or any cooking appliances.
  • Dangerous Items: Fireworks, pyrotechnics, laser pointers, or objects that can serve as projectiles.
  • Obstructive Items: Tents, beach shelters, large backpacks, suitcases, scaffolding, bicycles, and bulky items.
  • Prohibited Substances and Materials: Drugs, flammable/corrosive substances, or any form of discriminatory propaganda.

Parking

Parking at Spa-Francorchamps requires advance booking, with a daily parking pass priced at €25. Parking passes must be purchased online, and each is valid only for the specific zone and day chosen. Different zones serve different grandstand areas, so plan accordingly.

Attendants will direct you to an appropriate spot, and overnight parking is not allowed: vehicles left overnight risk being towed. Parking opens at 6:00 AM.

Parking Zones

  • Yellow Zone: Ideal for stands near the chicane, finish straight, and Eau Rouge.
    Directions: Route E42 Battice-Trier, Exit 10 Francorchamps.
  • Blue Zone: Closest to VIP, team, and paddock areas near the home straight and Eau Rouge. Standard ticket holders should use the Yellow Zone.
  • Red Zone: Best for access to the Blanchimont section.
    Directions: Route E25 Liège-Luxembourg, Exit 48 Werbomont.
  • Green Zone: Serves natural stands and grandstands around Les Combes, Malmedy, Rivage, and Pouhon.
    Directions: Route E42 Battice-Bitburg, Exit 11 Malmedy.

Motorbike Parking

Closer to the circuit than public car parks, motorbike parking requires a daily pass and follows the same rules.
