Spectators at Interlagos can enjoy the excitement of endurance racing from various grandstands, each offering a unique perspective of the action. Not all grandstands may be available during the FIA WEC weekend, but those open provide fantastic vantage points

Grandstand A, located along the finish straight, offers a budget-friendly yet panoramic view, making use of Interlagos’ natural elevation to give fans a glimpse of multiple track sections. 

Grandstand M, situated at Turn 1, allows spectators to experience thrilling wheel-to-wheel battles as drivers navigate one of the most crucial corners on the circuit, where late braking and bold overtakes can define their race.

For an additional fee, the Pit Lane Walk offers fans a unique chance to step into the heart of the action, exploring the pit lane up close and witnessing teams as they prepare their cars for the race.

The 2025 FIA WEC 6 Hours of São Paulo follows the standard World Endurance Championship weekend format, featuring a series of thrilling sessions that build anticipation for the main six-hour race at the legendary Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos.

Entering the circuit

Interlagos has multiple entry points, with access details provided on your ticket. Gates open early in the morning on all event days. To ensure a smooth entry, travel light and be aware of restricted items, including sharp objects, glass containers, and weapons. 

Given the circuit's undulating terrain, wearing comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing is essential. Conditions can change quickly, so packing sunscreen, a hat, and a rain jacket is advisable. 

Public transport is the most convenient way to reach the circuit, with the Autódromo metro station on Line 9 (Esmeralda) located just 500 meters away

Rules for visitors

As with other major motorsport events, including the FIA WEC 6 Hours of São Paulo at Interlagos, attendees must adhere to regulations set by the event organizers. Below is a summary of key guidelines:

Permitted Items:

  • Small personal belongings, such as mobile phones and spare batteries.
  • Personal hygiene items in small quantities.
  • Sunscreen and rain gear, including compact ponchos.
  • Foldable plastic water bottles for refilling at hydration stations.
  • National flags of reasonable size.
  • Prescription medication with appropriate documentation.
  • Baby essentials, such as diapers and baby food, for those attending with infants.

Prohibited Items:

  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, and sharp objects.
  • Explosive or flammable materials, such as fireworks and flares.
  • Large items over 25x25x25 cm, including coolers and oversized backpacks.
  • Glass containers, cans, and other rigid materials.
  • Professional recording equipment, such as cameras with interchangeable lenses and drones.
  • Items that could disrupt the event, include laser pointers and air horns.
  • Clothing that obstructs facial identification.
  • Illegal substances and animals, except for guide dogs with proper documentation.

Parking

There is no official parking available near Interlagos, so we strongly recommend using public transport – preferably the metro – or taking a taxi or Uber, keeping in mind possible traffic delays.

If you choose to drive, you have two options. You can park in the surrounding area and continue via public transport (metro) or use shuttle buses operating from various points in São Paulo.

Alternatively, unofficial parking lots can be found near the circuit, typically run by locals. Availability and pricing vary by day, with Friday being the cheapest and Sunday the most expensive. These lots are not publicly listed, so arriving early or scouting locations on Thursday is advisable.

For those driving from São Paulo, take Av. Marginal Pinheiros south and follow signs to the Interlagos circuit. Expect at least 1.5 hours of travel time in heavy traffic.

For the FIA WEC race at Interlagos, most visitors stay in central São Paulo, as accommodation near the circuit is scarce. The best areas are those with easy access to public transport, particularly the metro and train.

Paulista Avenue and Jardins offer a lively atmosphere with great metro access. Luxury options like Hotel Unique and InterContinental São Paulo stand out, while Radisson Hotel Paulista São Paulo is a solid mid-range choice. Itaim Bibi and Vila Olímpia provide a modern setting with excellent dining and nightlife, featuring hotels such as Hotel Fasano São Paulo. Brooklin and Berrini, known for business hotels, offer upscale stays at Hilton São Paulo Morumbi and Grand Hyatt São Paulo.

To reach Interlagos, the CPTM Line 9 (Esmeralda) train stops at Autódromo Station, just a short walk from the track. Metro connections via Lines 4 and 5 also link to Line 9. Uber and taxis are available but subject to race-day traffic. Booking early is recommended, as prices rise closer to the event.
