Entering the circuit

To enter the circuit, you must present a valid ticket, either in digital format or as a printed copy. For a hassle-free experience, it’s recommended to have a digital version on your phone while keeping a printed copy as a backup.

Access to Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is well-organized. The main entrances are strategically located to facilitate smooth access for spectators, teams, and officials. 

Visitors arriving by car can follow designated routes based on their parking zone, with pre-booked and on-site parking options available. Public transport connections are also accessible, with shuttle services often running from nearby towns. Upon arrival, ticket holders must go through security checks, where bags and personal belongings are inspected. 

The circuit features multiple entry gates, each leading to different grandstands.

Rules for visitors

To maintain safety and comply with event regulations, all attendees are required to follow specific guidelines.

Permitted Items:

  • Electronics: Cameras (private use only); Mobile phones
  • Flagpoles: Under 1.6 m, less than 2 cm diameter, if not obstructing view
  • Food & drink: Non-alcoholic food and beverages, no glass containers; Plastic bottles and cans
  • Lighters: Commercially available pocket lighters
  • Medical & aids: Medicines for personal use; Canes/walking aids
  • Optical devices: Binoculars
  • Personal items: Keyrings, purse chains
  • Seating/outdoor: Folding chairs; Compact sun umbrellas

Prohibited Items:

  • Beverage containers: Glass and other breakable bottles are prohibited (except unbreakable plastic bottles and commercially available cans).
  • Bulky items: Bulky objects – including large bags, backpacks, suitcases, bicycles, scaffolding, and even beach shelters or tents—are not allowed.
  • Food preparation appliances: Barbecues, cookers, and similar devices used for preparing food are banned.
  • Hazardous substances: Gas spray cans, corrosives, flammable or colouring substances, and containers with health-affecting chemicals are forbidden.
  • Laser pointers: All types of laser pointers are strictly prohibited.
  • Professional recording equipment: The use of professional television or video cameras and equipment for professional sound recording is not allowed.
  • Pyrotechnic articles: Fireworks, smoke bombs, incendiary devices, and related pyrotechnic items are banned.
  • Weapons and similar objects: Any weapons – along with items that could be used as weapons, such as knives, darts, or metal objects like detachable chains and iron bars  –  are prohibited.

Parking options include both pre-bookable and pay-on-site choices, allowing fans to plan based on their seating location. Pre-booking is recommended for a smoother arrival, especially near popular grandstands.

  • Exit 10 (E42): Follow yellow "PUBLIC" signs to access public parking.
  • Exit 11 (E42): Follow green "PUBLIC" signs for an alternative public parking area.

Pre-Booked Parking

  • Combes (Green Zone): Exit 11, follow the green arrows.
  • Fagnes (Red Zone): Exit 11, follow the red arrows.
  • P1, P2, P4, P6, P8, P14, P15 (Blue Zone): Exit 10b, follow blue arrows.

Camping

The official campsite at Spa-Francorchamps offers motorsport fans the unique opportunity to stay near the legendary Raidillon and Eau Rouge section. With 200 available pitches, each 25m² space accommodates up to four guests for the entire race weekend at a cost of €30, making it an affordable and convenient option. 

The campsite operates from 7 AM on the first day of the event until 8 PM on the final day, allowing for a hassle-free stay. Restroom and shower facilities are available nearby, though there is no electricity on-site, ensuring an authentic camping experience. Reservations are not required, and payment is accepted by card only upon arrival.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is located in Stavelot, Belgium and first opened in 1921. The track spans 7.004 km (4.352 miles) and features 19 turns. Known for its fast, flowing layout and significant elevation changes, the circuit is a favourite among drivers and fans alike. Eau Rouge and Raidillon, perhaps the most famous corner sequence in motorsport.

In endurance racing, Spa plays a crucial role as a key round in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The 6 Hours of Spa serves as a vital preparation race for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, testing both teams and machinery in conditions that often range from dry to wet in a single lap. For fans, the circuit offers some of the best spectator experiences, with grandstands and general admission spots providing panoramic views of the action, particularly at Pouhon, Blanchimont and the Bus Stop chicane.

The paddock and fan zones at Spa-Francorchamps also enhance the race weekend atmosphere.
