Parking

Parking at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) during the United States Grand Prix offers both official and unofficial options to suit different budgets and preferences.

Official Parking
The most convenient option is COTA’s official parking lots, which provide close proximity to the circuit, reducing walking distance to the grandstands. However, this convenience comes at a high cost, with prices ranging from $180 to nearly $300 per vehicle. Due to heavy traffic congestion around the circuit during race weekend, reaching the venue may take extra time. Booking in advance is recommended to secure a spot and minimize delays.

Unofficial Parking
For a more budget-friendly alternative, several unofficial parking lots are available within a 15 to 20-minute walk from the circuit. These options are typically more affordable and can help avoid some of the traffic congestion near the track. Prices are significantly lower than official lots, and some even offer the convenience of online reservations. It's advisable to book in advance where possible, and if paying on-site, carrying cash is recommended as some locations may not accept credit cards.

Recommended Unofficial Parking Options:

  • Southwest Austin Event Parking – Located at 12801 FM 812, Del Valle, TX. Priced at $60 per day or $150 for the weekend, but reservations are not available in advance.
  • Ruiz Parking – Situated at 9022 Elroy Rd, Del Valle, TX, close to Turn 1. This lot also offers camping options for fans staying overnight.

Official Camping Options
COTA provides two official choices: Premium RV Camping and Dry Camping in Lot N.

  • Premium RV Camping: Located next to the track, it costs around $10,000 (General Admission tickets sold separately). Amenities include water and electricity hookups, showers, and restrooms. Spaces are limited and sell out fast.
  • Dry Camping in Lot N: A budget-friendly option at $875 per vehicle, located a 5-minute walk from the track. Basic facilities like showers and fuel services are available, but campers should bring their own supplies.

Unofficial Camping
Ruiz Parking,
