The Fuji Speedway circuit offers several grandstand options for an exceptional race-viewing experience, all with great perspectives of the action. For the recent race, tickets were available only as General Admission.

The Main Grandstand provides a prime view along the circuit's main straight, one of the longest in motorsport at about 1.475 kilometres (0.917 miles). Spectators enjoy clear views of the start/finish line and pit lane, witnessing key moments like race starts, finishes, and pit stops.

The Turn 1 Grandstand offers a thrilling vantage point for dramatic braking and overtaking at the circuit's first corner. Located at the end of the main straight, this grandstand lets fans experience the excitement as drivers decelerate into the sharp right-hand turn.

Provisional schedule

The 2025 FIA WEC 6 Hours of Fuji will adhere to the traditional FIA WEC weekend format, featuring an exciting array of sessions leading up to the main six-hour race at the iconic Fuji Speedway.

Entering the circuit

The Fuji Circuit is approximately an 80-minute drive from central Tokyo. For those opting for public transport, options include buses and trains, however, a taxi ride will be necessary for the final leg of the journey to the track. Alternatively, for greater flexibility, consider hiring a car. The nearest major airport is Tokyo Haneda Airport.

As for entering the circuit, all bags will be inspected, and items on the prohibited list will be confiscated. Possession of such items may lead to denial of entry or a ban.

A valid ticket is required for entry. It’s best to have your ticket on your mobile device and a printed backup. Each ticket is for a single entry, so share wisely.

Operating hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. East Gate opens at 7:30 am, and West Gate opens at 8:00 am.

Rules for visitors

Like other major events held at Fuji, attendees at the FIA WEC race must comply with the established rules and guidelines. Here’s a quick overview of the key regulations for spectators:

Allowed/Recommended Items:

  • Binoculars for better track views
  • Blankets for seating or comfort
  • Personal photography equipment (e.g., digital cameras and detachable lenses; please note that tripods, monopods, and bipods are not permitted)
  • Sunscreen in plastic bottles (aerosols are not allowed)
  • ID/passport for identification purposes
  • Small power bank

Prohibited items:

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Animals (except certified service animals)
  • Drones or aerial devices
  • Fireworks, explosives, or incendiary devices
  • Glass containers
  • Metal water bottles
  • Personal transport devices (e.g., bicycles, scooters, skateboards)
  • Weapons of any kind (e.g., guns, knives, pepper spray)

Parking

Fuji International Speedway provides parking options for its visitors. While parking is typically free on ordinary days, fees may be applicable during significant events like the FIA WEC race.

The venue features parking space for around 15,000 vehicles. Despite this considerable capacity, parking spots can fill up quickly during high-attendance events. To ensure you secure a parking space, it's advisable to arrive early on event days. 

Planning ahead can enhance your overall experience!

Camping

Camping at Fuji Speedway combines motorsport excitement with outdoor relaxation, offering a range of accommodations at the RECAMP Fuji Speedway facility to suit various preferences:

  • Vintage Trailer Cottages: Stay in refurbished 1970s Airstream trailers equipped with modern comforts, including double beds, private showers, toilets, air conditioning, and kitchens. Each unit features an observation deck with views of the 100R corner and breathtaking Mount Fuji.
  • Trailer Villas: Experience stylish, futuristic trailer houses with comfortable double beds and private bathrooms, along with scenic views of both the track and Mount Fuji.
  • Auto Campsites: Traditional camping spots designed for tents and vehicles, complete with AC power outlets for a comfortable experience.

Typically, bookings open one to two months prior to your stay, and early planning is advised, especially for major racing events where special procedures may apply. Camping at Fuji Speedway is a fantastic way to enjoy thrilling racing while surrounded by beautiful nature!
