Bus services like ‘Catch-a-Coach’ operate from Southern Cross Station, with local shuttle buses running across the island to the circuit. Parking is available, with a daily fee for cars, while motorcycle parking is free.

The weather at Phillip Island can be unpredictable, with sudden changes in wind and temperature, so dressing in layers and bringing waterproof gear is recommended. Accommodation fills up quickly during race weekends, so booking early is essential. To ensure a smooth experience, plan ahead, check for any updates, and arrive early to soak in the atmosphere.

Allowed items

  • Binoculars – Visitors are welcome to bring personal binoculars for a better view of the action on track.
  • Identification – A valid ID may be needed for ticket verification or security clearance.
  • Camera lenses under 400 mm (as long as they do not obstruct others' views)
  • Food and beverages (only in small quantities for personal consumption, such as a sandwich, fruit, snack, or a bottle—bottles may need to be brought without caps)
  • Personal photography and video recording (professional equipment, large cameras, and tripods are not allowed)
  • Portable seating (such as camping chairs and sun umbrellas, permitted only in General Admission areas, provided they do not block others' views)

Prohibited items

  • Alcoholic beverages (unless purchased at the event)
  • Animals (except for certified assistance animals)
  • Dangerous weapons or goods (including firearms, flares, fireworks, and laser pointers)
  • Drones or aerial recording devices (including spider cameras)
  • Furniture (such as chairs, lounges, benches, or stools, except for folding chairs or stools)
  • Glass bottles or containers (unless bought at the event)
  • Motorcycle helmets (must be stored in the Public Storage facility near Gate 1 if not in use)
  • Whistles, loud hailers, horns, or bugles (or any device that may disrupt the event)

The Phillip Island MotoGP circuit provides convenient parking for both cars and motorcycles. Parking is available at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, with entry through Gate 2 on Back Beach Road. Designated parking areas make exiting after the event easier. 

Vehicles are parked between Gates 1 and 7, with direct access to the circuit from these points. Parking fees are payable upon arrival by cash or card, with no advance payment option. Car parking costs $18 per day (as of 2024), while motorcycle parking is free.
