About the circuit

MotorLand Aragón, located near Alcañiz, Spain, is a state-of-the-art racing circuit designed by Hermann Tilke with input from former F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa. Opened in 2009, it quickly established itself as a premier venue for international motorsport, hosting MotoGP, World Superbike, and endurance racing, while also serving as a key testing ground for manufacturers.

The track stretches 5.078 km, featuring 16 corners, a 968-meter back straight, and a counter-clockwise layout that challenges both riders and drivers with its mix of fast, flowing sections and tight technical turns. Its origins can be traced back to the Alcañiz street races of the 1960s, which gained popularity but were eventually discontinued due to safety concerns, prompting the development of a purpose-built circuit to continue the region’s motorsport tradition.

Since joining the MotoGP calendar in 2010, the track has delivered some of the championship’s most thrilling battles, thanks to its natural elevation changes, multiple racing lines, and overtaking-friendly design.

Additionally, its modern facilities and multiple grandstands provide an excellent experience for both fans and participants, ensuring its status as one of Spain’s top motorsport destinations.
